The online occupation and how it really works – Part 1
I am continually stunned by the amazing amounts of men and women who are currently realising the advantages of the Internet to pay the bills and make money. I supervise a group of contrasting online concerns which in total pay me a better monthly income than it was possible to earn working for someone else. I am not saying that I have to work less hours but I do not have get up early and travel any longer, which is an added bonus. I have a better life and more money coming in.
Managing many concerns is a lot of fun, but I have had to come up with methods of being more productive and improving the way I work. To manage people who buy what I have to sell and the financial performance of my businesses, I use a number of on demand systems – you should buy superior small business management software to to save you time and let you focus acquiring and serving customers. I purchased a Quickbooks login and a NetSuite login. I can get to these useful tools from where I choose to work and they effectively allow me me to see all of the commercial activities as they happen.
Through my NetSuite login I am able to observe all of the purchases on my e-commerce systems and see the results of the Google Adwords marketing activities that deliver customers to my shopping carts. I’ve ceased using Microsoft Office which I have replaced with a Google Account with all of the applications I need, with electronic mail, word processing and spreadsheets. I can use these applications from wherever I want to work.
I have acquired new skills and learnt new methods, I have uncovered a wealth of free and amazing value for money knowledge which I have readily studied. One of the most life changing lessons I have learned is how to recognize and contract out low level operations, to people who can do this better and cost effectively. I can precisely attribute the moment at which I passed my income target to my realising of the upside of sub contracting some of the work taking up most of my time, to me increasing my income to beyond that of my wages whilst in permanent employment.
In Part 2, I cover the detail about how I get things done.
